Incidentally, their share of renewable energy in the energy mix is also among the highest (35.3 % for Denmark 15.2 % for Germany and 19.4% for Spain, courtesy WEC). Figure 1 depicts the electricity prices per Kwh for various countries (small island nations have been omitted from this survey to avoid anomalies). Could this mean that there is an intrinsic link between the price of electricity and the high share of renewables in the energy mix?
